With the days getting shorter, and the calendar turning to October, the Sunset Film Society says it’s time to celebrate the season with heart-pounding suspense and atmosphere for Halloween.
Howling winds and rain, creaky doors, a phantom forest, an unearthly painting, children spawned from another world, specially selected Short Subjects and the Cinema’s first vampire are all part of this October’s Special terror lineup by the Sunset Film Society.
“Yes, it’s the Season of the unknown, the unfamiliar and heart-racing thrills! Never fear, there is no gore; only suspense and atmosphere to celebrate the Chill in the coming of Fall,” shared Jay Duncan, Director of the Sunset Film Society
The showings start at 2 p.m. Saturdays, with the exception of October 26th, when the International Museum Of Art will be presenting the 5th annual “Murder at the Museum” at 7pm.
“This is a live Murder Mystery Party, and it is up to you to determine who is guilty by collecting clues provided by a cast of characters. Plan on getting your tickets early and coming in costume,” Duncan added.
For the convenience of movie goers, the door on Brown Street will be open at 1:30pm to enter directly downstairs into the auditorium.
