Sunset Film Society returns to screenings via ‘Moonstruck’ at Ardovino’s Desert Crossing

After a year-long hiatus due to the pandemic, officials with the Sunset Film Society announced their return to the screen, along with a special partner.

The society’s screenings returns on Sunday, March 28, 2021 with a special Drive-In presentation of ‘Moonstruck’ at  Ardovino’s Desert Crossing, located in Sunland Park (NM) at 1 Ardovino Drive.

Attendees are encouraged to call early for reservations – (575) 589-0653 –  as the popularity of the event and car space will be limited.

Film historian, educator, writer, archivist, publisher, collector and host Jay Duncan will again host the screening and provide insightful commentary, anecdotes and facts behind the films.

“Plan on spending Palm Sunday under a full moon with this 3-time Academy Award-winning film,” Duncan shares.

Nominated for six Oscars, the film features winners Cher (Best Actress), Olympia Dukakis (Best Supporting Actress) bringing the story to life via the Best Original Screenplay, authored by John Patrick Shanley.
