Via their Facebook Page, local Food Truck legends Tacoholics announced Monday of the opening of their first stand-alone restaurant location.
First established in 2008, the catering and food truck business has been good for Jessie Pena and crew, garnering countless rave reviews on their menu. Aside from their mobile kitchen, the Tacoholics were located at 1506 Lee Trevino, inside Funkmeyers. Their last day at that spot will be January 3rd.
Below is the statement posted Monday:
With great pleasure I would like to share our news, we are moving to our 1st brick in mortar, a bit small but our own spot!
I want to thank the good lord for all our blessings; my wife, family, friends and my awesome staff!!
There have been so many people that have believed in our concept and food, THANK YOU EL PASO! Thank you all who aren’t El Pasoans and have made this possible too.
You’re not gonna get rich in the restaurant business, but you should get a lot of smiles if you’re doing it right. I do what I love and love what I do. The day that passion is no longer there I’ll be the first to hang up the cleaver.
2015 was an amazing year for Tacoholics. A feature in a show on the Cooking Channel Network, a book being published in late 2016, the front cover of El Diario, Univision feature, the El Paso Times, Texas Monthly, numerous donations, our first chef gala and lots of taco love from numerous people.
