Game in Many Pics: Scorpions sting Tigers 22-14

Friday night, the Horizon Scorpions made the trek from the High Desert to historic R.R. Jones Stadium, on the campus of El Paso High,  to take on the always-tough Tigers.

While the Tigers defended their home turf, Horizon was just too much as the Scorpions took the game 22 to 14.

Our very own Kevin Venegas was there and we bring you his view of the contest in this ‘Game in Many Pics.’

Game in Many Pics: Raptor Battle! Canutillo downs Eastlake 41-21

Cross-town raptor rivals met up at Socorro ISD’s Student Activities Center Thursday night as the Canutillo Eagles flew in to take on the Eastlake Falcons.

While the purple-clad Falcons played host, the Eagles took the role of the spoilers, taking the season opener 41-21.

Game in Many Pics: Mayfield edges Del Valle 14-13

The Monsters of the Mission Valley – Del Valle – made their way to the City of the Crosses Thursday night to start their 2019 football campaign against the Mayfield Trojans.

The Conquistadores made the most of their trip to the Land of Enchantment, but the Trojans were just too tough by one – taking the contest 14-13.

Our very own Johnny Yturales was there as well and we bring you his view of the matchup in this ‘Game in Many Pics’

Game in Many Pics: Ysleta opens 2019 with a win over Jefferson 43-13

The Ysleta Indians headed west to take on their Texas 20 rivals in silver and red, the Jefferson Silver Foxes Thursday night.

As one of the three local kickoff games for the 2019 season in the Sun City, the teams, the fans, the cheerleaders and the bands were more than ready to get the action going.

Foxes fans went home a bit sad, though, as Ysleta took the game 43-13; check out all the action via this ‘Game in Many Pics’

Story in Many Pics: Saturday night’s ‘El Paso Strong’ High School football event

As the region continues to recover from the events of August 3rd, a special event was held at historic R.R. Jones Stadium, on the campus of El Paso High School, Saturday night.

Organized by the Greater El Paso Football Showcase and Prep1, scores of football players from around the area took to the field and grandstands, replete in their respective school colors, to show the city and the world that everyone here is ‘El Paso Strong.’

While Friday and Saturday may have marked the end of the traditional High School Football Season, the excitement is not over just yet.

For the second year, El Paso Herald Post has teamed up with the Greater El Paso Football Showcase to bring you live, streaming coverage of the 2018 GEPFS Draft.

The draft marks the day when the 90+ young men find out which team they’ll be suiting up for – Red Storm or Blue Thunder – for one last game at the historic Sun Bowl Stadium on December 22nd.
