Boys & Girls Clubs of El Paso has named Anthony Tomasheski as the new Chief Executive Officer, positioned to lead the organization ahead to long-term success.
Tomasheski, who has a rich history of working with kids and teens in the El Paso area, will begin his new role on August 7, 2017.
Monday’s hiring announcement comes on the heels of Boys & Girls Clubs of America committing one of its executive leaders, Duane Hinshaw, as the interim CEO.
“Having spent the past 12 weeks working directly with the Boys & Girls Clubs of El Paso community, I am extremely confident in Anthony’s ability to drive this incredible organization forward,” Hinshaw said. “I am certain there are great days ahead for the kids of El Paso under the leadership of such a dedicated, experienced and respected professional.”
Tomasheski has a deep understanding of child development and enrichment having spent most of his career in El Paso’s education system. Most recently, Tomasheski served as the Interim Assistant Superintendent of special education for the El Paso Independent School District. Tomasheski is passionate about the work of Boys & Girls Clubs, and he is well suited to serve kids and teens in the Boys & Girls Clubs of El Paso community.
Tomasheski has a Masters Degree in Counseling and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Administration.
Hinshaw will continue to work directly with Tomasheski and Boys & Girls Clubs of El Paso leadership to build a long-term plan that supports the kids and families who depend on the Club during out-of-school-time.
