Surf-n-Suds Beach Bash with Deadbeach at Alamo Drafthouse

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Montecillo and DeadBeach Brewery are hitting the waves with the Surf ‘N’ Suds Beach Bash, just in time for this summer’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and Baywatch.

“We love finding excuses to cut loose and throw a party with local breweries like DeadBeach,” says Alamo Drafthouse Montecillo Private & Community Events Associate, Aracely Calzadias. “And the new Pirates and Baywatch felt like perfect opportunities to start our summer off right.”

To mark the occasion, DeadBeach Brewery’s bringing along a very special, one-time only custom brew, aptly named PIRATE’S BOOTY. This special beer is a cask fermented Abuela imperial stout aged with rum soaked oak spirals, pearl hops, toasted coconut, and black star anise.

The 9% ABV DeadBeach stout will shiver your timbers and could quite possibly make you walk the plank and is only available at Alamo Drafthouse.

The party starts at 6pm on May 25th, 2017 in the Glass Half Full Taproom inside Alamo Drafthouse. Festivities include a pirate costume contest, treasure hunt, limbo competition and much, much more.

This summer, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Zac “The Pebble” Efron join forces to patrol the sunny sands of The Bay in Baywatch, a not-so-serious adaptation of the beloved cheeseball TV show. Click here for movie times.

Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp, BLACK MASS) returns this summer. This time it’s all about revenge: a ghostly galleon-loaf of spectral Spanish Armada sailors has escaped the Devil’s Triangle and are looking for the rum-soaked pirate who put them there.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales  is a return to the light-hearted ghost adventures of the original film. Introducing a new generation of heroes, bringing back familiar faces like Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley, and giving us better and funnier Jack Sparrow action than ever before.
