The Downtown Art and Farmer’s Market, in partnership with EP Bike Month and Velo Paso, will help roll off month-long festivities with a special evening market from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Thursday, May 5, at the pedestrian pathway.
“We are working not only to encourage healthy lifestyle choices through access to fun programming, but also to stimulate the economy through support of local artists and businesses,” said Downtown Art and Farmer’s Market Coordinator Valerie Venecia.
Visitors will be able to enjoy live music and visit their favorite market vendors. A popup window mural art crawl will also take riders through the Downtown Arts District to visit local businesses showcasing the talents of El Paso artists.
The art crawl will depart from the pedestrian pathway at 6 p.m. and will make stops at Sparrow’s, Golden Goose Tattoo, Gray Dog, the Pizza Joint and Craft and Social.
The regular Downtown Art and Farmer’s Market will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Anthony Street location. Bike related activities, such as workshops, mechanics and safety clinics, rides, and a special Yoga for Cyclists class will be featured at the market during Bike Month.
