Ducks Unlimited (DU) is hosting their annual fundraiser to benefit wildlife conservation efforts at a new location this year.
On Tuesday, officials announced a return to Lower Valley’s 71-year-old shotgun range for this year’s fundraiser. The El Paso Skeet and Trap Club, at 9817 Alameda Avenue, has 7 trap fields that will be up and running for this fundraiser trap shoot.
Set for August 25th, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., the annual DU Fun Shoot will feature 5-man trap teams, with a fee of $250 per team. Buckles will be awarded for five divisions. Lunch will be available, with a fee of $7 per person.
In addition to the competition and warm up for the hunting season, there will be raffles featuring DU merchandise and firearms, available for bidding during Live and Silent auctions.
In addition to hosting the fundraiser, the El Paso Skeet and Trap Club has numerous competitions in the month of August, and also hosts the original 4-H Youth Shooting Sports group in El Paso County.
Organizers add there are still slots open for event sponsors, and team sponsors as well. For more information, please contact Mike Horan 915-317-8520 or Tess Clark 915-526-8624
