The 2019 class for the El Paso Baseball Hall of Fame was officially announced Tuesday by hall of fame officials.
Albert Montes, Armando Femath, Matthew Bañales, Michael Cox and Arturo Bravo were all selected for the honor.
The entire class will be honored the weekend of July 13 and 14th.
On Saturday July 13, the class of 2019 tosses out First Pitch at Southwest University Ballpark. Then, on Sunday July 14,the Class of 2019 Induction Banquet will be held at the Wyndham Conference Center.
Tickets for the event are available $30 Per Person and required for everyone entering Banquet Hall; the last day for Ticket Sales is Friday July 5, 2019

⦁ Awarded Most Outstanding Umpire at 2002 Southern Umpires Camp in Atlanta, GA
⦁ Selected by peers to represent El Paso twice as representative for Texas High School Final 4 UIL State Tournament
⦁ Consistent selection for High School Playoffs Games
⦁ Umpired numerous State and Regional youth championship games
⦁ Played at Riverside High School and as a junior hit .400 with a 7-1 pitching record
⦁ Selected All-District and All City in his senior year leading Riverside High School to first District title
⦁ Played collegiately at Hill College and Hardin- Simmons University
⦁ Three Time All City and All District selection for Austin High School
⦁ Played with UTEP Baseball under Andy Cohen

To celebrate this year’s El Paso Baseball Hall of Fame inductees, the hall will be hosting several events around the city this week.
There will be five inductees into this year’s 30th Annual El Paso Baseball Hall of Fame Class. The five inductees are Jesse Munoz, John Cazares, Luis Gonzalez, Lonnie Dugger, and Rene Quinones.
Below is the schedule of events
Tuesday, August 8th Proclamation Day at City Hall. Inductees will be present to receive the Proclamation designating the week of August 7th El Paso Baseball Hall of Fame Week. This event is scheduled to begin at 8:00 AM, prior to the City Council meeting.
Thursday, August 10th Meet and Greet at the Wyndham El Paso Airport Hotel at 5:30 PM. Come and meet and greet the new inductees.
Friday, August 11Th Chihuahua Night, Southwest University Field. The new inductees will be throwing out the first pitch during pre-game ceremonies. Game time is 7:00 PM. A Family Night is scheduled at the stadium Big-Dog House for all El Paso Baseball Hall of Fame members along with new inductees, families, and friends. Cost is $32.00 which includes entrance and all you can eat dinner.
Saturday, August 12th Golf Tourney at Painted Dunes. Registration is 8:00 AM with Tee Times beginning at 9:00 AM. We have approximately 45 teams participating. The tournament will feature the opportunity to win a new car from Travis Crawford and/ or a Harley Motorcycle from Barnett Harley-Davidson on 2 par-3 holes. Entrance fee is $100 per person or $300 per team. Price includes breakfast sandwiches, goody bags, prizes, awards, and Fajita Dinner at the conclusion of tourney.
Sunday, August 13th Induction Banquet Night – Cocktails 4:30 PM Lobby; Dinner/Program 5:30 PM at Wyndham El Paso Airport Hotel Conference Center Banquet Hall.
In addition, six El Paso teams who went to the Texas High School Final 4 State Championship Tournaments will also be honored: 1949 Bowie, 1965 Austin, 1983 Burges, 1992 Coronado, 2000 Riverside, & 2009 Socorro.
