El Paso Homeschool Association Hosting Conference In July

For regional parents looking for support and resources options for their children, the El Paso Homeschool Association’s (EPHA) Homeschool Conference returns to the Borderland for the 3rd year in a row.

Officials with EPHA share that the conference “brings much needed-information to those who are interested in homeschooling as an option to educate their children.”

To that end, the EPHA connects families to local, state and national organizations that advocate for education rights.

Via their website, organizers went on to say, “By virtue of being an education forum, El Paso Homeschool Association’s Conference does not attempt to filter all of the content you may see or hear at our conference. We believe that parent educators are competent and qualified to discern and make informed decisions regarding what material is good for their family. The conference is designed to serve diverse variety of homeschoolers, as well as those who are considering home education. Our convention is not a place to define uniformity of belief and practice.”

The 2-day 2018 Conference, hosted by Vino Nuevo Church, will include 32 workshops, host local and national vendors in the Exhibit Hall and provide child care for kids age three to eight. Organizers add that food trucks will be available for lunch both Friday and Saturday.

Registration is now open and is $45/family (2 adults and their dependents).

Founded in 2017, the association’s mission is to support, engage, educate, and elevate home education in El Paso and the surrounding communities throughout the Borderland.
