Kids-n-Co (KNC) continues its 30th Anniversary season with their production of “The Snow Queen,” adapted by KNC’s very own John Robledo.
Adapted from the classic fairy-tale by Hans Christian Andersen and narrated by the ever-present Aurora Borreal, the story focuses on two best friends: Kai & Gerda.
When Kai falls under an evil spell and mysteriously disappears, just a few days before Christmas, Gerda goes on a journey to find her lost friend. Along the way, she will encounter many strange characters and perils – River Spirits, Robbers, even the Devil himself…and, of course, the cold and ambiguous Snow Queen.
The show opens at 7:30 p.m. Friday, November 30, with performances at 7:30 p.m, December 1, 8, 14 and 15; and 2:30 p.m. December 2 and 9, at First Presbyterian Church, 1340 Murchison.
Tickets are $7 for adults, and $5 for kids, students, military and senior citizens.
Additionally,KNC will be holding auditions for it’s upcoming show “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” at 6 p.m. December 2 & 3, at First Presbyterian Church, 1340 Murchison.
Directed by Michael Anthony Stokes with Musical Direction by Laura Sambrano, the musical has roles for six students and three adults (but there is some flexibility to that number).
