Mariachi Los Arrieros Closes out Music Under the Stars Sunday

The City of El Paso Museums and Cultural Affairs Department (MCAD), in collaboration with El Paso Live, a division of Destination El Paso, invites the public to the final concert of Music Under the Stars as it closes out the 34th season on Sunday, July 23, with Mariachi Los Arrieros at Noche Ranchera.

Noche Ranchera, a long-time staple of Music Under the Stars, is the most anticipated night of the season.

Los Arrieros was originally established to display the young local mariachis in El Paso and create a professional group that could travel, play concerts and represent El Paso throughout the world.

The group has shared the stage with internationally known artists including Vicente Fernandez, Lucero, Marco Antonio Solis, Pepe Aguilar

The concert will start at 7:30 p.m. at the Chamizal National Memorial.

Sun City Craft Beer Festival Returns with New Location, 1-Day Special Ticket Offer

El Paso Live is excited to announce that it will be teaming up with the Sun City Craft Beer Festival to bring the popular event to the El Paso Convention Center Plaza and Pedestrian Pathway on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 12-8PM.

The Sun City Craft Beer fest is working with local and national breweries to put together the biggest craft beer festival in West Texas. Besides the participation of more than 60 different breweries, there will also be two stages with live music, merchandise, art, and food trucks that will pair the right food with the perfect beer.

“We are excited to be teaming up with the Sun City Craft Beer Festival this year’” said Bryan Crowe, Quality of Life Managing Director. “Our goal is to make this event even bigger and better than it has been in past years.”  The SCCBF leadership is also eager to forge this partnership. “Destination El Paso is the perfect partner for an event of this magnitude. Their vision is completely aligned with our goals for the festival and we are excited to have them on the team,” said Nahum Avila, SCCBF Founder and co-organizer.

Tickets for the Sun City Craft Beer Festival start at $30.00 and go on sale Friday, February 5 at 10AM. Tickets can be purchased at, all Ticketmaster outlets, charge-by-phone at 800-745-3000, and the Plaza Theatre Box Office.

$20.00 tickets will be available on Friday, February 5 from 10:00AM until midnight.  To purchase the $20.00 tickets, use the code BEER at any point of sale.

A Limited number of VIP tickets are available for $80.00. The VIP ticket includes a dedicated entrance to the festival, exclusive access to the VIP Area with unique beers available for tasting, and complimentary food.

The Sun City Craft Beer Festival and El Paso Live promote responsible drinking. $10.00 tickets are available for Designated Drivers.

Plaza again ranked in Top 100 Theatres worldwide

El Paso Live is pleased to announce that The Plaza Theatre was again named one of the top 100 theatres worldwide in ticket sales in 3rd quarter Pollstar reports.

Industry leader Pollstar maintains the world’s largest database of international concert tour information and has the most reliable and accurate worldwide ticket sales results. All figures calculated were for tickets sold worldwide as reported to Pollstar for shows played during the third quarter of 2015.

During this period the Plaza Theatre was ranked 95th on the Pollstar list.

In addition to this weekend’s almost sold out touring performance of Third Day, the Plaza Theatre will also host touring shows of Ballet Folklórico de México de Amalia Hernández on October 25, The Book of Mormon on November 10-15, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical on December 8-9, Dave Koz on December 15, Ragtime the Musical on December 20, and Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker on December 23-24. In addition to these touring shows, several locally produced performances are on the schedule.

The city-owned Plaza Theatre is managed by the El Paso Live division of Destination El Paso.
