Henry C. Trost was one of the most iconic architects of the American Southwest, and was the best-known architect based in El Paso in the early part of the twentieth century.

Trost Society host ‘Toast to Trost’ this Saturday

Dr. Max Grossman, Architectural Historian, will be leading a tour in the guise of Henry C. Trost. Past meets present as we tour local bars thriving in the Downtown Historic District. Participants can learn about El Paso’s early architecture and history while enjoying conversations and cocktails inspired by our city’s rich heritage.

The tour is set for Saturday, October 17th and begins at Blackbird Cantina Deluxe at 5 p.m. Tickets are $40 in advance, payable at www.texastrost.org or $50 cash at the start of the tour. Tickets include four signature drinks plus snacks.

Limited spots available, RSVP to jennifer@texastrost.org. Member discount available. Participants must be 21 and over.

The mission of the Texas Trost Society “is to advocate for the preservation of Trost & Trost buildings and to educate the public about the architectural legacy of Henry C. Trost.”
