The Weekly Yelp: El Paso’s Mediterranean Cruise

Feta up with the same old, same old? No worries, we set sail (read: drove all around the 915) on the most delicious voyage ever and came back with five Mediterranean favorites.
From gyros, to hummus, to babaganoush, this week we’re extending an olive branch with a big heapin’ helping of the most mouthwatering Mediterranean fare in the Sun City.

Pita (Breakfast & Brunch, Middle Eastern, Sandwiches)
4172 N Mesa St
“When I got home, I opened the box and I could see gorgeous fresh salad, perfectly fried falafel, and smooth, creamy hummus. Everything totally hit the spot and the freshly made pita bread really took the whole dish up a notch. I will definitely be back.” – Shawn G.

Sinbad World Cuisine (Mediterranean, Middle Eastern)
2716 N Mesa St
“My husband had the shawarma which was phenomenal, probably the best babaganoush I have ever had, the falafel was on point, and the hummus was served traditionally! Try this place because their heart and soul is in every dish they create.” – Kitty A.

Kabob House (Mediterranean)
7500 Gateway N
“I can’t pronounce or remember the spelling but I got the #22 and my husband #9. Mine was an eggplant stew with beans and beef and his was berry rice and chicken kabob. The rice was so soft and fluffy… The berry rice was delicious!” – Teri T.

Zino’s Greek & Mediterranean Cuisine (Greek, Mediterranean)
7040 N Mesa St
“Best hummus! This place serves pretty good authentic Greek food. The best part is the hummus and their own pita recipe. Pita is soft and chewy. One order is enough for two so I don’t normally order extra pita.” – Amy K.

Casa Pizza Italian and Greek (Italian, Pizza, Greek)
1311 Magruder St
“Cozy place with delicious food. My all time favorite was and is still the hot pastrami. The gyro is as good as I remember… This is a truly great lunch stop, so make the effort.” – Kenneth M.

The Weekly Yelp: A Hit Of Health!

T Coasters

“This place is great for health-conscience peeps. I had the chicken sandwich with cauliflower soup. That soup was so delicious, that is my recommended choice. I’ll be back again!” – Ruth E.

The Healthy Pizza Company
3800 N Mesa St, El Paso, TX
“My absolute favorite is the Hummus Yummus: hummus with cucumbers, feta, and olives. They also have a tasty spicy marinara sauce that goes well with any pizza. I love the fact that they have the calorie counts on the signs so you know what to expect.” – Eric M.

Mom’s Fresh Juice Co
518 W San Antonio Ave, El Paso, TX
“A cold press juice joint in the borderlands is most welcome. I’ve tried a couple of their juices and look forward to exploring the menu further. I really appreciate the ability to pop in and get a cold juice. The taste is great.” – Katy J.

Cielo Vista Natural Market
8900 Viscount, El Paso, TX
“Nice little organic store in EP that sells what I was looking for. Healthy protein packed ice cream! They also serve fresh food at the deli.” – Adam G.

The Green Ingredient
201 E Main St, El Paso, TX
“I’ve had a few things there. I’ve had the raw tacos, the nut cheese plate, the tofu stir-fry, and a bite of my fiancé’s veggie lasagna. All tasty stuff! They even have different flavored waters everyday.” – Kelli S.
