EPCC Theater opens Spring Season with ‘The Good Doctor ‘

El Paso Community College (EPCC) Theater Ensemble will begin its spring season with The Good Doctor directed by Ted Karber Jr.

The EPCC Theater Ensemble performs at the EPCC Transmountain Campus Forum Theater, 9570 Gateway North.  Performances will be held March 6, 7, 13 and 14 at 8:00 p.m., March 8 and 15 at 2:30 p.m.

A combination of Neil Simon and Russian writer Anton Chekhov, the Good Doctor is a comedy with music that exposes the ridiculous, tender, outlandish, ludicrous, innocent, and weird frailties of human beings.

It centers on a writer, who presents the audience with a plethora of scenes: some are from his childhood, others are his family and friends, and still others are his own life experiences.

An American Sign Language Interpreter will be provided for the March 13 performance.

Tickets are available at the door, cash only. The box office opens two hours before each performance.  For theater information, call (915) 831-5056.  Ticket prices are:

–       General Admission-$15

–       Non-EPCC students and Military-$10

–       EPCC students, staff and senior citizens-$7

Boots is a new comedy written by Stephanie Karr and Mark Watts and directed by Matthew Robert Smith. If you like Country-Western bars you’ll wanna two-step on in to Boots, a west Texas Bar where you can mingle with the reg’lars.

A friendly bunch, more or less, with characters the likes of which you’re no doubt familiar.  And, who’s the dude always sittin’ in the dark corner?
