The Greater El Paso Association of REALTORS® (GEPAR) contributed $17,000 on behalf of their 2,100 members to help El Paso Community College farther it’s goals of promoting access to scholarships and excellence within the community.
GEPAR President Dan Olivas and Chief Executive Sharron Ramirez were on hand to accept recognition for the Associations’ contribution to El Paso Community College’s Education Foundation.
During the presentation, officials with GEPAR said, “Realtors know firsthand the importance of educational outcomes and how it ties to the economic development of El Paso.”
“When individuals cannot find well paid employment, the likelihood of they becoming a homeowner shrinks, that’s why promoting education, and educational outcomes is a cornerstone of achieving the American Dream of homeownership,” they added.
The mission of the Foundation for El Paso Community College is to promote access to scholarships and excellence in the educational process to benefit all individuals seeking learning opportunities.
