Fashion Ink returns for 2017 in a new location, a bigger line up and a new contest for attendees to judge.
Presented by Emajj, Fashion Ink is dedicated to promote the cultural lifestyle of tattoo artists, fashion designers, inked models and business professionals within the industry. Fashion Ink is the only fashion show event in El Paso designed to serve as a platform for tattoo models and tattooists of diverse ethnicities, showcasing their fashion, variety of talent, and artistic skill.
According to event officials, this year’s show brings together four local designers: Mundano Clothing, Imperial Legacy, Royowlty, and Fresh Paradise; each showcasing their latest designs from their spring/summer collection.
Emajj’s Gracie Cain adds, “The event’s featured designer, Salvador Castaneda, creator of Mundano Clothing and Salvador Castaneda Atelier, Guadalajara native believes that the best vengeance is to look better.”
“To achieve ‘better,’ Castaneda creates uncommon clothing that people will admire when walking down the street,” Cain adds, “having grown up in Los Angeles, Castaneda brings a distinctive look to El Paso.”
Additionally, the evening of creativity, ingenuity, and self expression will feature a new “People’s Choice” contest.
Fashion Ink aims to give tattoo artists a chance to network, gain recognition, support their local tattoo culture, and share in the admiration of tattoo art. The People’s Choice gives artists the opportunity to airbrush an exclusive design on non-tattooed models, with a winner selected by the audience for their favorite design.
This year’s Fashion Ink will be held at the El Paso Zoo Event Pavillion on March 09, 2017 at 7pm. The venue, complete with a view of the zebras, is the perfect stage for the inked models to strut down the catwalk, in their couture outfits taylored specifically for each model.
The El Paso Zoo Event Pavillion is located inside the El Paso Zoo, at 4001 E Paisano Drive; Tickets are available online at eventbrite.com
