Parkland High School will host this year’s MayFest beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21, at the campus to showcase the talents and hard work of the Parkland Learning Community, and increase community and parental involvement in education.
More than 25 Partners in Education, local clubs, businesses, and organizations will host informational booths, and guests will also be able to enjoy games, food, and drinks.
The highlight of the even is the presentation of the Royal Court. The court will be composed of students from the Parkland Learning Community and will feature a king, queen, lady-in-waiting, princess, prince, duke, and duchess.
Pazos Entertainment will operate a bungee trampoline and a pedal cars attraction. Last year’s MayFest drew more than 2,000 people. The event is open to the public and entry is free of charge.
