The El Paso Chihuahuas beat New Orleans 11-7 Tuesday and swept the four game series against the Zephyrs. It was El Paso’s first series sweep of the season and the club’s first sweep since August 15-18, 2015 at Nashville.
Alex Dickerson went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs Tuesday and has reached base 10 times in 11 plate appearances since being optioned from San Diego on May 14. Dickerson extended his hitting streak to 16 games on Tuesday, which is the longest streak in Chihuahuas’ history.
Hunter Renfroe and Rocky Gale also homered for El Paso on Tuesday. For Renfroe, it was his third consecutive game with a home run, which is one game shy of the team record held by Renfroe and Cody Decker.
The Chihuahuas hit seven home runs in the final two games of the New Orleans series.
The Chihuahuas have won seven consecutive home games, which sets a new team record. The Chihuahuas do not play on Wednesday.
