Popular Latin sensation Ricardo Arjona is kicking off his United States tour in El Paso, officials announced.
Arjona opens the U.S. leg of his “Circo Soledad” tour at 8 p.m. Sept. 7 at the El Paso County Coliseum at 4100 East Paisano.
The Guatemalan singer and songwriter is considered one of the most successful Latin American artists of all time, with more than 40 million albums sold. Arjona’s music range is vast, including ballads, rancheras, Latin pop, pop rock and tropical, as well as Cuban, Tejano and Latin sounds.
Arjona has won a Grammy Award and a Latin Grammy Award, after earning a combined 21 nominations. He has won four Billboard Latin Music Awards (19 nominations), 13 American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers Awards, three Lo Nuestro Awards and is a member of the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Arjona is currently on the world leg of his tour before hitting the United States, starting inthe Sun City and landing in Phoenix, Las Vegas, San Antonio, Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami, among other cities.
The tour is named after his 15th album, “Circo Soledad,” which hit the top spot of Billboard’s Latin Pop Albums Chart upon its release this year.
Tickets, which go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, May 12, will cost $76.50, $96.50, $116.50 and $156.50, plus fees, and will be available at the El Paso County Coliseum Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 800-745-3000 and online.
