Fans will have the chance to watch the world’s best bull riders compete in the 12th annual Casa Ford Tuff Hedeman Championship Bull Riding event at 8 p.m. Saturday, February 18, at the El Paso County Coliseum at 4100 E. Paisano.
Behind 30 years of bull riding success, Hedeman, an El Paso native, is one of the most recognizable cowboys in the history of rodeo, having won the world title four times. He now produces some of the most successful bull riding events across the country, shining a light on Championship Bull Riding and Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association stars.
Hedeman, who is in the ProRodeo Hall of Fame, Bull Riding Hall of Fame and Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame, will serve as the chute boss and television commentator for this year’s event, which is the 11th stop on CBR’s Road to Cheyenne Tour.
Twenty-four bull riders — including 2014-15 PRCA World Champion and 2014, 2016 CBR World Champion Sage Steele Kimzey, and 2015 CBR World Champion and 2012 PRCA Champion Cody Teel — will compete for prize money and points that will qualify them for the World Finals in July at the Cheyenne Frontier Days celebration in Wyoming.
Saturday’s event also will feature the Tailgate Down pre-party, starting at 5:30 p.m., with music, food, vendors and autograph opportunities with CBR’s Famous Energy Bullfighters.
Tickets are $10, $15, $20, $25, $35, $50 and $75 and are available at the El Paso County Coliseum Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 800-745-3000 and online.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. It will be nationally televised on FOX Sports.
