Each year, the El Paso Marathon Foundation holds its Health & Fitness Expo the Saturday before the big race. Attendees can visit with multiple vendors to learn about the latest information and products regarding marathons.
The expo also serves as the pick-up location for runners to collect packets with their race number, timing chip, technical t-shirt and goodie bags.
The Springfoot Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K Run/Walk, formerly the El Paso Marathon, will take place on Sunday, February 19, 2017. All participants will receive a free technical t-shirt and event photos plus Michelob Ultra, food and entertainment at the finish line.
The first 1,700 registered participants will receive a complimentary Chihuahuas game voucher and all participants in the full and half marathon will receive custom designed medals.
Anyone interested in the event can visit SpringfootElPaso.org to learn more details and register through Saturday, February 18. Saturday registrations will need to be done in person at the expo.
The Springfoot Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K Run/Walk is sponsored by Michelob Ultra, TFCU and Up and Running.

They added, “Our new brand represents a reinvigorated mission to organize a first class marathon that promotes health and fitness in the community, brings tourism to the region of El Paso and provides support to local and national non-profit organizations.”
In addition to the Springfoot Marathon, organizers have added a Half Marathon and 5K Run/Walk. While it’s a competitive long distance run, the 5K Run/Walk allows for fitness enthusiasts of all levels and families/friends to join in a fun and non-competitive manner.
