Four arrested for allegedly selling pirated music at Bronco Swap Meet

El Paso Police arrest four people for allegedly selling pirated music at a well-known Lower Valley swap meet.

According to the El Paso Police Department, officers from the Mission Valley Regional Command, assisted by Investigators with the Recording Industry Association of America, made the arrests on Saturday morning at Bronco Swap Meet located at 8404 Alameda.

Undercover investigators were able to purchase the pirated music from one of the vendors and witnessed the others selling to customers. Investigators warn that additional arrests are possible and that future operations will be conducted in the El Paso region.

Police officials say 32-year-old Sergio Hernandez, 25-year-old Karla Delgado, 58-year-old Benito Almaraz and 31-year-old Jesse Rojo were all working at different booths and allegedly selling pirated music.

The four were charged with the offense of Labeling, which is a felony offense in the Business and Commerce Code. All were booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.

Hernandez, Almaraz and Rojo all had bonds set at $7,500.00 while Delgado had bond set at $5,000.00.
