TriWest Healthcare Alliance today announced the company has chosen downtown El Paso as the location of a new Operations Center. The company seeks to hire 225 new employees in El Paso and hopes to attract as many veterans as possible to fill the positions.
“It made good business sense to expand our footprint here considering El Paso is one of the Top Ten best cities for veterans in the United States, and our only line of business at TriWest is to serve veterans. We are also pleased with El Paso’s strong commitment to the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Economic Community Initiative,” said David McIntyre, President, and CEO of TriWest Healthcare Alliance.
TriWest acts as a partner to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in administering the Veterans Choice Program (VCP) for veterans in El Paso and throughout 28 states.
“By making veterans a priority El Paso is setting itself apart from other communities around the country. We are attracting jobs, talent and investment. I am excited that TriWest sees the value and potential in our veterans, in our downtown and in El Paso,” said Congressman Beto O’Rourke.
“It is an honor to be here in El Paso, and it is our privilege to create new employment opportunities for those who have a sincere interest in serving the health care needs of our nation’s veterans. In order to continue to provide the high quality customer service our nation’s veterans deserve, we are seeking qualified candidates to join the TriWest team. We encourage those who are passionate about serving veterans to attend our career fair this upcoming Wednesday to learn about the numerous opportunities we have available,” said McIntyre, “I am hopeful we can fill as many positions as possible with veterans to serve their fellow veterans.”
TriWest plans to hire a variety of positions in both clinical and nonclinical roles. Examples include Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Management and Operations, Team Leads, Quality Assurance Analysts, Trainers and Patient Services Representatives.
“I want to thank Dave McIntyre and his team for choosing El Paso as the newest location for TriWest. Their commitment to veterans healthcare and the company’s commitment to employing veterans and their families is right in line with the priorities of City Council. TriWest’s pledge to hire 225 El Pasoans speaks volumes to the quality of our workforce here in El Paso. Today’s announcement would have not been possible without the leadership of Congressman O’Rourke, and I would like to personally thank him for his dedication to helping advance the El Paso economy,” said Mayor Oscar Leeser.
Interested candidates may attend TriWest’s Career Fair Thursday, December 17, from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. at the El Paso Marriott, 1600 Airway Blvd, El Paso, Texas, 79925. Ballrooms E-J.
