On Monday, the City of El Paso and United Airlines announced two new, daily non-stop flights from El Paso International Airport to Chicago O’Hare commencing April 9, 2018.
“The City of El Paso and the Airport have done a fine job of focusing on airline development, this added service is a sign that El Paso is improving economically. This flight in particular will be convenient for our business community which helps economic development,” Mayor Dee Margo said.
The twice daily, early morning and mid-day flights, will be convenient for business and international travel. United will operate an Embraer 170 aircraft on the new route with first class seating options.
Tickets are now on sale.
“This is the eighth non-stop flight that has been added in the past three years. We are making tremendous progress expanding our jet service, and this is a testament to the support of the Mayor, City Council and the community as well as the work of the Department,” City Manager Tommy Gonzalez said.
“Travelers will now be able to fly non-stop to Chicago by way of three airlines, which improves connectivity, scheduling and pricing options; we are pleased that United has invested in the new routes,” said Monica Lombraña, A.A.E., Managing Director of Aviation and International Bridges.
