United Way to Host its last Community Conversations

In the last three months, United Way has hosted nine community conversations across the city, which allowed for residents to openly discuss their aspirations for the county.

In June, United Way will wrap up its series with four more conversations that are open to the public.

The series of conversations are intended to help United Way better understand the community it serves and assess how it can work to address the community’s concerns.

Following the last conversation, United Way will begin to compile the notes taken during the discussions and overlap it with data and research to inform decisions about how the organization will move forward in supporting El Pasoans.

The conversations are inspired and modeled by the Harwood Institute for Public Innovation, a nonprofit assisting individuals and organizations in solving pressing problems in communities. Volunteers trained to moderate the discussion will lead the 90-minute conversations.

United Way is inviting the general public to RSVP (915-533-2434) and attend these upcoming conversations meant for a maximum of 15 participants. All opinions and thoughts will be noted anonymously.
