Oracle and the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced the 2016 Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Women’s Division I Preseason Rankings for the upcoming fall season.
UTEP Junior Vivienne Kulicke was ranked No. 101 in the women’s national singles rankings.
Kulicke paced the UTEP squad in 2015 with an overall record of 25-10 in singles action while recording 21 wins in straight sets. She ended the dual season with a 15-5 mark, playing the majority of the time at the No. 1 position.
She earned numerous accolades in her first year in an Orange and Blue uniform including, Conference USA Newcomer of the Year, First-Team All-C-USA Singles selection and C-USA Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week (3/1/16).
Not only did she have an outstanding year on the court but in the classroom as well. Earlier this year, the UTEP women’s tennis team was named an ITA All-Academic team while Kulicke was given ITA Scholar-Athlete honors. She was also recognized to the C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll and garnered a C-USA Commissioner’s Academic Medal.
UTEP Kicks off the fall season when the team travels to the Midland Open, which will be held Sept. 17-19.
