Seasonal sandbag distribution sites will open early Tuesday and Wednesday of this week so customers can prepare for the expected heavy rainfall in El Paso.
Hours will be extended at the Mission Valley, west, central and east areas of El Paso, and hours remain the same at the Stormwater Operations Center.
El Paso Water does not charge for sandbags. Persons who cannot lift heavy items should be accompanied by someone who can assist with loading and unloading the bags.
Customers in areas prone to flooding are encouraged to have sandbags on hand before the heavy rains begin.
The limit is 15 bags per visit. Normal hours will resume on Thursday.
