TEA approves Clint ISD waiver for face to face teaching

Thursday evening, Clint ISD received word from the Texas Education Agency, approving their request for an additional waiver to change the date of face-to-face instruction for students.

Per TEA’s approval, Clint’s request for 3-week, with a phase-in implementation was accepted.

“Following the guidelines set by the Texas Education Agency, we must modify our I-LEARN@SCHOOL phase-in plan. We are adjusting the phase-in timeframe by moving it forward one week,” district officials shared.

“Face-to-face instruction is for those families who selected I-LEARN@SCHOOL. Any students who selected I-LEARN@HOME may remain at home in that learning mode.”

Below is the revised schedule for the Phase-In Process:

Clint ISD officials said that the schedule is subject to change, based on the status of our community health data and guidelines from TEA.

Officials said that exceptions can be made for families that cannot meet this phase-in timeline; parents or guardians would need to communicate with their child’s school for accommodations to the schedule.

“We thank you for your pa6ence and understanding as we adjust our plan based on our current health information and guidance from TEA. Keeping our students and staff safe remains our priority,” district officials added.
