Tech Table Talk invites student, teacher to discuss returning to classroom during COVID-19 Pandemic

Next week, community members from the Paso del Norte and West Texas region are invited to join the third edition of Tech Table Talk, a virtual discussion series from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso.

The third installment of Tech Table Talk will focus on students returning to the classroom, and will feature physicians as well as a local high school student and teacher.

The discussion will stream live from TTUHSC El Paso’s Facebook page, and viewers can submit questions during the event.

The panelists will share their perspectives on returning to the classroom during the COVID-19 pandemic, while also touching on other topics critical to our community, such as the mental health aspects of returning to school and best practices for preventing the spread of the virus.

Richard Lange, M.D., M.B.A., president of TTUHSC El Paso and dean of the Foster School of Medicine, will moderate the discussion among the panelists, who include Glenn Fennelly, M.D., M.P.H., chair of pediatrics for Texas Tech Physicians of El Paso; Sarah Martin, M.D., chair of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program at TTP El Paso; Michael Reese, human geography and U.S. history teacher at El Paso High School; and Sofia Reese, a ninth-grade student at El Paso High School.
