El Paso’s own Teachers Federal Credit Union (TFCU) announced Monday their continued support of Feed the Frontline El Paso.
Earlier this year, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, TFCU donated $5,000 to Feed the Frontline El Paso, a program, which raises money to support local restaurants while providing and delivering meals to healthcare workers across the city.
This initial donation provided 535 meals to frontline healthcare workers at medical centers across El Paso.
On October 30th, 2020 TFCU donated another $5,000 to Feed the Frontline. This second donation provided breakfast meals to 2,400 healthcare personnel across four Hospitals of Providence campuses.
“Now more than ever, actions like these mean the world to our team and we are so incredibly grateful,” said Nicholas Tejeda, Group CEO for The Hospitals of Providence.
As the city continues to experience a rise in COVID-19 cases, TFCU again recognized the need for support to our frontline healthcare workers.
Feed the Frontline, El Paso is a project of Feed El Paso, for the purpose of providing cost-free meals to medical personnel, first-responders, the United States Armed Forces, or other individuals displaying hardship within their daily life or given circumstances.
The organization has raised more than $80,000 in donations and delivered over 8,000 meals to those affected by the pandemic this year alone.
