On Monday morning, officials with Teacher’s Federal Credit Union (TFCU) announced they were able to donate $31,967 to the El Paso Shooting Victims’ Fund.
“Although no amount of donations could ever erase what happened on that day; TFCU is humbled by the outpouring of support employees, and members showed the victims and their families with their generosity,” said Max Villaronga, President and CEO of TFCU.
TFCU is sincerely grateful for its members, employees, and community partners for uniting to support the victims and their families.
“The donation was made possible thanks to the generosity of TFCU members, and its employees,” TFCU officials added via a news release.
TFCU also supported the local fundraising efforts of Proper Printshop by purchasing 254 Viva La Mocha “El Paso Strong” T-shirts for employees to wear in support through October 12, 2019.
Indirectly, the credit union donated an additional $3,810 to the Shooting Victims’ Fund via the locally-owned print shop.
The Paso del Norte Community Foundation (PdNCF) and El Paso Community Foundation (EPCF) created One Fund El Paso, a non-profit agency, in August 2019 to oversee the distribution of donations intended to support victims and survivors of those directly impacted in the August 3rd mass shooting at the El Paso Walmart.
