El Paso Pro-Musica, in partnership with the Johns Hopkins University and the Peabody Institute of Music Present the 5th annual “Young Artist Development Series,” with the Bergamot String Quartet.
Members of the quartet, violinists Ledah Finck and Sarah Thomas, violist Amy Tan and cellist Irene Han perform the works by 21st century Composers with an emphasis on New Female Composers including Caroline Shaw and Jessie Montgomery.
Additionally, Montgomery – a member of the Catalyst String Quartet – will also be in residency during the El Paso Pro-Musica Chamber Music Festival in January.
The Quartet will engage the community in a Residency from November 4-8 including Master Classes at UTEP, a presentation uniting Art and Music for students in a new arts initiative, “Tunes and Tones,” in collaboration with the El Paso Museum of Art, area Coffee Shops and the Southwest Women’s Leadership Institute.
The Quartet will perform in Las Cruces on November 7 at the DAAC Cultural Arts Center, with a Concert in El Paso on Friday, November at UTEP’s Fox Fine Arts Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m.
