The War Eagles Air Museum is teaming up with local El Paso Artist, Tino Ortega, for the 2022 Art Gala and Auction.
This event is taking place at War Eagles Air Museum (8012 Airport Rd., Santa Teresa, NM 88008) on Saturday, May 14th at 5 pm.
This event will feature artwork provided by local artists created specifically to be auctioned off at this event. Types of artworks include both canvas paintings and painted vintage aircraft & helicopter parts. Proceeds from the auction will go towards helping fund the community murals at Lincoln Park. The event will take place in the War Eagles Air Museum hangar.
War Eagles Air Museum is proud to bring the 2022 Art Gala & Auction to the Santa Teresa, Las Cruces, & El Paso Areas. The 2022 Art Gala & Auction will include an incredible evening of premium wines from Zin Valle Vineyards, delectable appetizers and desserts prepared by Holistic Meals, exclusive local artworks prepared specifically for this event to be included in a silent auction (Christin Apodaca, Tino Ortega, and AO are amongst the artists creating artwork for the event), and a performance by “Footprints” a local acoustic band!
The evening allows guests to indulge in their community, while also giving back to it. “The murals of Lincoln Park have played an important role in the preservation of El Paso’s cultural identity over the span of four decades. The presence of the murals has been made possible through various donors and sponsorships, paired with the dedication of each artist involved. In recent years, the expansion of local highways, has contributed to the loss of many significant murals, which is why we seek to empower and promote visibility within our community.”, said Tino Ortega, local El Paso Artist.
