The Great Khalid Foundation, in partnership with El Paso Electric, announced Monday that tickets for the Fine Arts Student Exhibition were on sale now, through June 12, 2021.
“This program achieves so many goals for us,” said Linda Wolfe, Executive Director of The Great Khalid Foundation, “we wanted to promote Black history education, create an opportunity for fine arts students, and encourage the community to engage in critical conversations.”
Celebrating Black History invited middle and high school students from El Paso to channel their learning and research into an original art piece.
Ten finalists were selected to showcase their work at the upcoming Fine Arts Student Exhibition on Juneteenth.
The Fine Arts Student Exhibition will be held on June 19 from 11 am to 1 pm at the historic Plaza Hotel. Tickets are priced at $100 and proceeds will benefit the Foundation.
Organizers add that ticket holders will enjoy a delicious menu of hand-passed appetizers, bidding on one-of-a-kind silent auction items, and the opportunity to vote on their favorite pieces.
“Seeing the work these talented students created and hearing about what they learned surpasses our expectations and now we invite El Paso to embrace their talent and hard work with us,” said Linda Wolfe.
