 TNTM: Disney DuckTales reboot

TNTM: Disney DuckTales reboot

Disney DuckTales getting a reboot

Growing up we didn’t have on demand TV channels or streaming on the internet. We had to be in front of the TV when the show originally aired or you missed it. Your only hope was it would be in a re-run.

Disney had a stranglehold on after-school cartoons. There was Chip & Dales Rescue Rangers, Tailspin, and DuckTales. These cartoons took the favorite Disney characters and re-imagined them. They added a few new characters to the mix and voila, you had Disney Gold.

DuckTales was probably the best of the Disney after-school cartoons. The cartoon followed Scrooge McDuck and his nephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie as they went on lots of different adventures.

Good news if you are one of those folk that miss the old Disney after-school cartoons. They are rebooting DuckTales! The biggest news is Scrooge McDuck will be voice by David Tennant. You might recognize that name as the Tenth Doctor on Doctor Who. There will be one-hour movie called Woo-oo! on August 12. They will be running this movie on a marathon schedule until the regular episodes begin on September 23.

Hopefully Disney will be able to capture lightning in a bottle again with DuckTales. This will introduce the new generation to these great characters. Get your kids interested in this new series and then break out the old seasons of the original and re-live the magic.
