The Albuquerque Isotopes scored three times in the top of the eighth to tie the game and three more times in the top of the ninth to go ahead in their 8-5 win over the El Paso Chihuahuas Sunday.
The Isotopes have won the first three games of the series against the division champion Chihuahuas.
Jose Rondon went 2-for-4 for El Paso, hitting a double and his first Triple-A home run. Patrick Kivlehan went 2-for-3 with a walk and a home run, his 12th of the season between the three Pacific Coast League teams he’s suited up for.
El Paso starter Frank Garces pitched only one inning because he will start Game 1 of the Pacific Coast League playoffsWednesday vs. Tacoma. Eric Yardley threw three scoreless innings out of the Chihuahuas’ bullpen and has allowed only one earned run in his last 24.2 innings of work.
Monday is the final game of the regular season.
