Residents can help less fortunate El Paso families shine-up their smiles while simultaneously proving you’re the smartest member of your squad.
For the first time in years, the El Paso District Dental Society and the Texas Dental Association’s Smiles Foundation are bringing the Texas Mission of Mercy (TMOM) to El Paso in April 2018.
This all-volunteer event brings together hundreds of dental professionals and other volunteers to provide needed dental care including cleanings, fillings and extractions to those who cannot afford it.
El Paso’s dental community will kick-off fundraising efforts for this event with a Geeks Who Drink Trivia Night at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2017, at Shundo Ballroom Dance Studio, 120 Paragon Lane in West El Paso. Anyone is invited to attend and compete. Teams of up to eight people will compete in general trivia and be rewarded with fun, prizes and bragging rights. The event is BYOB.
Competitors will also be able to bid on trivia ‘ringers’ who will join their team and provide some extra brain power in their corner.
Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased in advance by clicking here or purchasing at the door on the day of the event. Tickets are tax deductible and include food catered by Chuy’s Fine Mexican Food at the Fountains at Farah.
If you can’t attend but would like to support Texas Mission of Mercy’s visit to El Paso you can do so as part of El Paso Giving Day. Early giving takes place beginning on November 8; Day-of giving will take place on El Paso Giving Day which is Wednesday, November 15, 2017.
Every year, TMOM provides free dental care to more than 2,000 Texans across the state.
