Tropicana Properties CEO honored with National Association of Home Builders “One to Watch” award

Demetrio Jimenez, CEO and co-owner of Tropicana Properties, has been awarded the 2020 National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Multifamily Pillars of the Industry “One to Watch” Award. 

“We’re extremely proud of Demetrio and this achievement.” said Bobby Bowling IV, “His innovative nature and passion for the industry is a driving factor for our success.”

Officials add that these national awards reward multifamily professionals with exceptional leadership in individual community and regional property management.

For over 20 years, Jimenez has devoted himself to the multifamily apartment industry and is a key advocate for affordable housing both locally and statewide. Currently, Jimenez is a partner at Tropicana Properties II, LLC along with Bobby Bowling I.V. and Randy Bowling in El Paso, Texas.

Jimenez also serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Tropicana Properties, a management company dedicated to offering affordable housing to low-income families since 1999.

“Demetrio is a natural leader who has been an integral member of the El Paso Chapter of NAHB- we are pleased his achievements are recognized now as well at a national level.” said Ray Adauto, Executive Vice President of the El Paso Association of Builders.

Jimenez is actively involved in various leadership roles at local, state, and national associations and community outreach programs, including Housing Tax Credit Group of NAHB, El Paso Apartment Association (EPAA), Texas Apartment Association (TAA), and El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank.

NAHB is one of the largest trade associations in the United States, representing the interests of home builders, developers, contractors, and associated businesses.
