The Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) is one of the largest convention centers in the world. It boasts total space of 4,600,000 sq ft (430,000 m2) and 2,500,000 sq ft (230,000 m2) of exhibit hall space.
There is a North, Central, South and West hall. With the convention center being so large it can take quite some time to walk from one hall to another.
Elon Musk had an idea to solve that problem.
Musk started up the Boring Company. No, it wasn’t named that because it was dull. It is a company that bores tunnels underground. Musk envisioned a vast network of these underground tunnels with multiple stations around Las Vegas to alleviate a lot of the traffic congestion.
He decided to use the Las Vegas Convention Center Loop as his proof of concept. It has been working very well and there are plans to expand the tunnels to various locations around Las Vegas.
It will be like a subway system with actual cars rather than trains. It won’t be long until you can get anywhere in Vegas in just a few minutes without worry of getting stuck in traffic.
