“Being a part of the many things happening here – growing health care professionals in the region, helping the community connect with our exceptional health care staff and building friendships along the way – that’s what I’m looking forward to,” Griffin said.

TTUHSC El Paso Announces New Senior Director of Marketing and Creative Services

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso officials announced Thursday that Daphne Griffin is their new senior director of marketing and creative services for the Office of Institutional Advancement.

Griffin will oversee marketing and creatives services to include advertising, graphic design, social media management, photography and videography. She joins TTUHSC El Paso’s senior leadership team working closely with faculty, staff, and the university’s medical, nursing, dental and biomedical research students.

“Our creative team is comprised of some of the most talented people I’ve ever had the fortune to work with,” Griffin said. “I am excited to help them expand on their already great work to strengthen the brands associated with TTUHSC El Paso.”

Griffin was born and raised in El Paso and graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso. She moved away early in her career. During those 26 years away, she held marketing and communications positions in both health care and higher education.

She worked at Eastern Illinois University, where she developed recruitment campaigns, capital campaigns and alumni outreach campaigns. She produced print, web, multimedia, outdoor and mobile collateral for the entire campus – from admissions, to the alumni office, to the university foundation  and athletics.

After 18 years in Illinois, she returned to the Southwest and worked for a year and a half in the restaurant industry until she found her way back to higher education. After a brief nine months doing development at New Mexico State University, her career came full circle with an opportunity to work for her alma mater, UTEP. Now, she joins TTUHSC El Paso.

“TTUHSC El Paso is the best of both worlds,” Griffin said. “More important, however, is that TTUHSC El Paso is impacting the Paso del Norte in significant ways. I’m both proud and honored to be a part of an organization that’s so profoundly improving the quality of life for residents in this remarkable region.”

Her 30 years of extensive marketing experience will greatly benefit the institution.

“Being a part of the many things happening here – growing health care professionals in the region, helping the community connect with our exceptional health care staff and building friendships along the way – that’s what I’m looking forward to,” Griffin said.
