Tuff Hedeman Tour Returns to El Paso in February

The world’s best bull riders will again gather in the Sun City to compete in the 2019 Casa Ford Tuff Hedeman Bull Riding.

The annual event is presented by Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino,and is scheduled for 8 p.m. Saturday, February 16, at the El Paso County Coliseum at 4100 East Paisano.

Top bull riders – including last year’s El Paso winner and five-time PRCA World Champion Sage Kimzey; as well as four-time PRCA World Champion JW Harris; CBR World Champion Josh Barentine; and National Finals Rodeo superstars Eli Vastbinder, Jeff Askey, Trey Benton, Dustin Bouquet, Boudreaux Campbell and Cole Melancon, among others – will compete for $30,000 in prize money in a three-round, tournament-style format.

“Anytime you have $30,000 available to riders, you will draw the elite athletes of the sport,” Hedeman said. “The talent level this year exceeds my expectations with the NFR’s hottest guys coming to El Paso.”

Hedeman, who was born in El Paso and is a graduate of Coronado High School, is one of the most recognizable cowboys in the history of rodeo and is considered a pioneer in the sport of bull riding.

The respected four-time world titleholder is a member of the ProRodeo Hall of Fame, Bull Riding Hall of Fame and Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame. He has produced the El Paso event for 14 years.

Tickets are $15, $20, $25, $35, $55 and $80, plus fees, and are available at the El Paso County Coliseum Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 800-745-3000 and online. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
