Duo arrested for illegal dumping after truck gets stuck

El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPCSO) Deputies arrested two men for illegal dumping in far-East El Paso Tuesday afternoon.

According to EPCSO officials, Deputies stationed at the East Montana Patrol Station responded to a call of illegal dumping in progress. Deputies arrived at the intersection of Bernard Lane and Rene Drive, located just south of Montana and east of the Ysleta Cutoff shortly after 2 p.m.

When they arrived, Deputies saw two suspects and a white pick-up stuck in the sand after dumping an old carpet and palm tree leaves.

Officials say that 30-year-old David Minjarez and 29-year-old Gustavo Calzada confessed to the dumping of trash. Both  Minjarez and Calzada were arrested for illegal dumping.
