TxDoT, Connect10 Project closures, detours for week of October 25

TxDoT, Connect10 Project closures, detours for week of October 25

Crews will be working on some high impact closures this week, including the anticipated  27-hour closure for the I-10 Connect project this weekend.

Southbound traffic on Interstate 110, the short freeway spur connecting US 54 to the Bridge of the Americas, will be relocated to the newly reconstructed southbound lanes on Monday morning. That will require a 27-hour closure of the roadway leading to the Bridge of the Americas over the weekend.

When I-110 re-opens on Monday morning, motorists are reminded of the temporary cross walk immediately north of the Bridge of the Americas. Temporary speed bumps, signage and other markers will be relocated to slow traffic and accommodate pedestrian traffic.

Then, next week, nightly closures of Interstate 10 will be in place near US 54 to allow crews to install overhead electrical conduit and as part of on on-going maintenance project which is unrelated to the I-10 Connect Project.

There’s also recurring closures on I-10 and Loop 375 for different projects and an upcoming traffic switch on Transmountain Drive.
