TxDOT, Connect10 project detours, closures for Week of April 11

In addition to the on-going work around the El Paso area, the I-10 Connect Project isn’t just using concrete and steel to improve traffic flow in Central El Paso.

It will also add intelligent traffic system (ITS) components like overhead lane management system (LMS) signs, additional dynamic message signs (DMSs) and new TransVista cameras to the Texas Department of Transportation’s set of tools to manage traffic flow through the heart of the city.

Work on several of those components will lead to complete closures on US 54 next week as well as lane closures on Interstate 10. Motorists are encouraged to avoid travel in the area during the closures if possible
