Crews continue their daily work on area projects and that means possible detours and/or closures for Borderland drivers to be aware of.

Mesa Rehabilitation Project

Monday, July 19 through Friday, July 23

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Continuous until further notice.

  • Mesa north and southbound between Baltimore and Sunland Park alternate lane closures.
  • Mesa northbound at Brentwood reduced to one lane.

Crews will be grinding the roadway.

Tri State Electric (State Highway Improvements) Project

Monday, July 19 through Friday, July 19

Night, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

  • I-10 east and westbound between Zaragoza and Horizon shoulder work.

Crews will be working on installation of signs.

Monday, July 19

Night, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

  • Loop 375 (Border Highway) eastbound between Fonseca and Yarbrough left lane closed.

Crews will be working on installation of signs.

Hazard Elimination and Safety Illumination Project

Monday, July 19 through Friday, July 23

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Vista del Sol east and westbound between Zaragoza and Joe Battle left lane closed.

Crews will be working on new illumination system.

Bridge Maintenance Project

Sunday, July 18 through Wednesday, July 21

Nightly, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

  • I-10 westbound at Airway bridge closed.
  • All traffic directed to Airway, exit 25.

Crews will be replacing armor joints.

Thursday, July 22

Nightly, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

  • I-10 westbound at Geronimo bridge closed.
  • All traffic directed to Geronimo, exit 24.

Crews will be replacing armor joints.

Installation of Sidewalks, Raised Medians and Pedestrian Rail Project

(US-85, US-62, SL-478, BU-54A, Lee Trevino, & FM-2529)

Starting Wednesday, June 23 – Continuous closure, day and night. (One-month expectancy)

  • Copia north and southbound between Missouri and Clifton left lanes closed.

Crews will be working on installing new curbs for raised medians.

Loop 375 (Border Highway) Wrong Way Driver Construction Project

Continuous until further notice.

  • Oregon southbound between Olivas V Aoy (Eight) and Ninth closed.
  • Detour to Mesa.
  • Ninth between Mesa and Oregon closed.
  • Loop 375 westbound between Madrid to Santa Fe right turn lane and shoulder closed.

Crews will be working on demolition.

Guardrail / Chain Link / Rock Wall Repair Project

Sunday, July 18

7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Loop 375 (Transmountain) westbound between US-54 and Tom Mays State Park closed.

Crews will be working on guardrail.

Monday, July 19

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • I-10 westbound between Vinton and Anthony left lane closed.

  • US-62/180 (Montana) eastbound between Boone to Alameda various lane closures.

Crews will be repairing potholes.

  • I-10 westbound Raynolds off-ramp closed.
  • Gateway West between Paisano and Raynolds left lane closed.

Crews will be repairing riprap.

  • I-10 westbound between Copia and Executive alternate lane closures.

Crews will be repairing spall.

  • Loop 375 (Border West Hwy) westbound between Shuster and Executive right lane closed.

Crews will be cleaning drains.

Replacement of E3 Rail Project

Monday, July 19 through Friday, July 23

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • I-10 westbound between Schuster and Asarco bridge left lane closed.
  • I-10 eastbound between Asarco Bridge and Schuster left lane closed.

Crews will be working on center median barrier and high mast illumination.

I-10 Connect

Sunday, July 18, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

  • Westbound Interstate 10 will be closed to all traffic between Geronimo Drive and Raynolds Street.
  • I-10 DETOUR: Take Exit 24 (Geronimo Drive), continue on Gateway Boulevard West, re-enter I-10 at Raynolds.
  • US 54/JUÁREZ DETOUR: Take Exit 24 (Geronimo Drive), turn right on Chelsea Street, turn left on Montana Avenue, turn right on Gateway Boulevard North and enter US 54.
  • Eastbound Interstate 10 will be reduced to one lane between US 54 and US 62/180 (Paisano Drive).
  • Ramp D which connects southbound US 54 to eastbound I-10 will be reduced to one lane.

Crews will be working on overhead lane management and dynamic message signs.

Monday, July 19, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

  • Westbound Interstate 10 will be reduced to one lane between Raynolds Street and Walnut Street.

Crews will be working on dynamic message signs.

Tuesday, July 20, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

  • Eastbound Interstate 10 will be reduced to one lane between Raynolds Street and US 62/180 (Paisano Drive).

  • LP 375 southbound Americas Avenue Exit 45A will be closed
  • Southbound traffic exit at North Loop Road Exit 45

9 p.m. until 5 a.m. (overnight)

  • North Loop Drive east and westbound lanes at Loop 375 (i.e. intersection @ Loop 375) will be closed
  • Traffic will follow detours

IH-10 Mill and Inlay Project

Sunday, July 19 through Thursday, July 22 (complete closure)

Nightly, from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. (overnight)

  • I-10 eastbound complete lane closure between McRae Boulevard and Lee Trevino Drive to include entrance ramps and exit ramps
  • I-10 westbound right two lanes from Lomaland Drive to Mc Rae Boulevard

Crews will be performing milling and paving operations

Monday, July 12 through Friday, July 16

Daily, from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.

  • Gateway Boulevard eastbound left shoulder and alternating left lane and right lane closures between McRae Boulevard and Lomaland Drive. Ramps and turnarounds may be closed as needed.
  • Gateway Boulevard westbound left shoulder and alternating lane closures turnarounds between Lomaland Drive to McRae Boulevard. Ramps and turnarounds may be closed as needed.

Crews will be performing electrical work and rock wall installation
