TxDOT, Connect10 work, detours for week of September 5

Even with the Labor Day pause, crews with TxDOT and Connect10 continue to work on the region’s highways and byways.  Check the routes before you head out this week.

Mesa Rehabilitation Project

Tuesday, September 7 through Thursday, September 9

Nightly, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

  • Mesa southbound between Baltimore and Sunland Park reduced to one lane.

Crews will be grinding.

Tuesday, September 7 through Friday, September 10

6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Mesa northbound between Baltimore and Sunland Park alternate lane closures.

Crews will be paving median cuts and turning bays.

Guardrail Repair Project

Tuesday, September 7

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • US-54 northbound between Broaddus and Ellerthorpe right lane closed.

Wednesday, September 8

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • I-10 westbound between Porfirio Diaz and Schuster right lane closed.

Thursday, September 9

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • I-10 eastbound between Anthony and Vinton right lane closed.

Friday, September 10

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • South Desert at Vinton on-ramp closed.
  • Gateway South between Fred Wilson and Hayes right lane closed.

Miscellaneous Concrete

Wednesday, September 8

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Loop 375 westbound between Padres and Yarbrough right lane closed.

Crews will be repairing riprap.

Loop 375 Widening Project

Tuesday September 7 to Thursday September 9

9 p.m. until 5 a.m. (Overnight)

  • Zaragoza intersection at Loop 375 will be closed
  • All traffic will detour along frontage roads with assistance of law enforcement

Crews will be installing bridge drill shafts

Tuesday, Sept. 7 to Thursday, Sept. 9

9 p.m. until 5 a.m. (Overnight)

  • Loop 375 northbound main manes will be closed from Zaragoza to North Loop
  • All northbound traffic will exit at Zaragoza Road Exit 48 and detour along frontage road

Crews will be installing bridge panels and unloading material

I-10 Connect

Tuesday, September 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • The offramp which connects westbound Interstate 10 to Gateway Boulevard West at Cotton Street will be closed to all traffic.
  • DETOUR: Exit 21 (Piedras Street).

Crews will be relocating concrete safety barriers.

Tuesday, September 7, through Friday, September 10

Daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • The shoulder on eastbound and westbound I-10 will be subject to intermittent closure between Piedras Street and Trowbridge Drive.
  • NOTE: Motorists are advised to use extra caution in this area.

Crews will be working on signs.

 

Wednesday, September 8, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

  • Eastbound I-10 will be reduced to a single lane from Piedras Street to Trowbridge Drive.

Crews will be working on signs.
