TxDoT/Go10 Closures and Detours for Week of February 18

Officials with the Go10 Project remind motorists about closures set for this week, and that most are happening overnight, except for:

  • Feb 21 and 22, when I-10 West (starting at Resler) will be reduced to two lanes, then the two lanes reduce to one lane from North Mesa to Thorn.

  • 23, when the eastbound North Mesa exit ramp (Exit 11) closes, along with South Desert Blvd.

Reminder: Crews are planning to shut down I-10 West at Resler on Sunday, Feb 25.

·      I-10 Eastbound will close completely between North Mesa Street (Exit 11) and Sunland Park Drive.

·      The North Mesa Street entrance ramp to I-10 Eastbound will close.

·      The Resler Drive entrance ramp to I-10 Eastbound will close.

·      The Sunland Park Drive flyover entrance ramp to I-10 Eastbound will close.

 

Detour:  Motorists on I-10 Eastbound will exit at North Mesa (Exit 11), then take North Mesa Street (SH 20) to Doniphan Drive, then to Sunland Park Drive. Drivers may re-enter I-10 Eastbound using the Sunland Park entrance ramp.

 

I-10 East @ Mesa

 

Overnight

Feb. 20

9 pm to 6 am the next morning

 

·      I-10 Eastbound will close completely between North Mesa Street (Exit 11) and Executive Center Boulevard.

·      The Paisano Drive (US 85) entrance ramp to I-10 Eastbound – in front of the auto dealerships – will close.

·      Crockett Street access to Paisano Drive (US 85) will close.

·      All access points from Sunland Park Drive to Paisano Drive (US 85) will close.

 

Detour: I-10 Eastbound traffic will exit at North Mesa (Exit 11), then take North Mesa Street (SH 20) to Executive Center Boulevard’s entrance ramp to I-10 Eastbound.

I-10 West @ Resler

 

Daytime

Feb. 21 and Feb. 22

9 am to 4 pm daily

·      The left lane on I-10 Westbound will close between Resler Drive and Thorn Avenue.
I-10 Both Directions Overnight

Feb. 22

9 pm to 6 am the next morning

 

·      I-10 Westbound will close completely between Executive Center Boulevard (Exit 16) and Sunland Park Drive.

·      The Schuster/UTEP entrance ramp to I-10 Westbound will close.

·      I-10 Eastbound will close completely between North Mesa Street (Exit 11) and Executive Center Boulevard.

·      The Paisano Drive (US 85) entrance ramp to I-10 Eastbound – in front of the auto dealerships – will close.

·      Crockett Street access to Paisano Drive (US 85) will close.

·      All access points from Sunland Park Drive to Paisano Drive (US 85) will close.

 

Detour:  Traffic on I-10 will be detoured through North Mesa Street (SH 20) to the next available I-10 entrance ramp. Follow the detour signs in place.

South Desert Blvd

 

Daytime

Feb. 23

9 am to 4 pm

 

·      The North Mesa Street exit ramp (Exit 11)from I-10 Eastbound will close.

·      South Desert Boulevard will close completely between McClintock Drive and North Mesa Street (SH 20).

I-10 West @ Resler

 

27-HOUR CLOSURE

Sunday, Feb. 25

3 am to 6 am the next morning

 

·      I-10 Westbound will close completely at Resler Drive (Exit 12).

·      North Mesa Street (SH 20) will close completely in both directions under the I-10 overpass.

·      The North Mesa westbound exit ramp will close.  All other ramps at I-10/North Mesa will be open.

·       The Sunland Park entrance ramp to I-10 West will close.

 

Crews will be re-configuring the traffic lanes of I-10 Westbound and demolishing the I-10 Westbound overpass at North Mesa Street (SH 20).

 

 

Ongoing closures:

Paisano (US 85) @ Sunland

 

Ongoing – 24/7

Jan. 15 through Sunday, March 4

 

·      Paisano Drive (US 85) will remain closed at Sunland Park Drive.

·      Sunland Park Drive will be kept to two lanes starting at Constitution Drive to I-10.

 

Motorists on Sunland Park Drive (coming from Doniphan Drive) will have access to a dedicated right-turn lane onto the Paisano Drive (US 85), which is also the entrance ramp to I-10 Eastbound.

To help mitigate roadway congestion in this area, motorists should consider using an alternate entrance ramp to I-10 Eastbound.

Business Access: Motorists will be able to access area businesses from Sunland Park Drive as well as from Constitution Drive and Crockett Street.

 

North Mesa

 

Ongoing – Daytime

Feb. 20-Mar. 2

9 am to 4 pm weekdays only, as needed

 

·      The right lane on North Mesa Street (SH 20) will close from North Desert Blvd to Osborne Drive.
