TxDoT/Go10 Closures, Detours for Week of October 28th

Here’s a look at the project closures for the week ahead. Highlights and complete lists on individual projects are listed via hyperlinks below.

  • Closures continue on North Mesa Street (SH 20) as work to improve pavement progresses.
  • Lane patterns on North Mesa Street (SH 20) are now changed.
  • Closures on I-10 in both directions and at Sunland Park Drive overpass continue.
  • GO 10 has no closures scheduled for Halloween night, October 31.

Mesa Park Interchange Project 

Sunday, Oct. 28 through Tuesday, Oct. 30
9 p.m. to 6 a.m. (nightly)

  • Complete closure on I-10 westbound between Schuster to Sunland Park
  • DETOUR: Traffic will need to exit at the Schuster exit ramp and continue on Sunland Park to N. Mesa
  • Crews will be striping and placing barriers between the Asarco Metal Bridge and Executive

Thursday, Nov. 1
9 p.m. to 6 a.m. (nightly)

  • Complete closure on I-10 westbound between Schuster to Sunland Park
  • DETOUR: Traffic will need to exit at the Schuster exit ramp and continue on Sunland Park to N. Mesa
  • Crews will be striping and placing barriers between the Asarco Metal Bridge and Executive

Concrete Work

Monday, Oct. 26 through Friday, Nov. 2
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (throughout the day)

  • Left lane closure on I-10 eastbound at the Vinton entrance ramp
  • Eastbound Vinton entrance ramp will be closed
  • Crews will be repairing concrete barriers in the area.

Border West Expressway Project

Friday, Oct. 26 to Monday, Oct. 29

9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (Continuous full closure)

  • Westbound and eastbound from I-10 to Paisano.
  • Closure is needed for traffic switch.

Loop 375

Friday, Oct. 26 to Monday, Oct. 29

9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (Continuous full closure)

  • Westbound and eastbound from Paisano Connector to Oregon St.
  • Closure is needed for sound wall work.

Friday, Nov. 2 to Monday, Nov. 5

9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (Continuous full closure)

  • Westbound and eastbound from Paisano Connector to Oregon St.
  • Closure is needed for sound wall work.

Doniphan

Friday, Oct. 26 to Monday, Oct. 29

9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (Continuous full closure)

  • Eastbound and westbound from Racetrack to US 85.
  • Closure is needed for roadway work and traffic switch.

US 85

Friday, Nov. 2 to Monday, Nov. 5

9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (Continuous full closure)

  • Westbound and eastbound from Spur 1966 to San Francisco St.
  • Closure is needed for bridge work.

Go10

North Mesa

Overnight

Monday, Oct. 29, Tuesday, Oct. 30, and Thursday, Nov. 1

8 p.m. each night to 6 a.m. each morning

  • North Mesa Street (SH 20) eastbound lanes (traveling in the direction toward Remcon) will close between Osborne Drive and Remcon Circle.
  • North Mesa Street (SH 20) westbound lanes (traveling in the direction toward Doniphan) will close between North Desert Boulevard and Osborne Drive.
  • The North Mesa exit ramp from I-10 eastbound will close. Detour: Motorists on I-10 eastbound should use an alternate exit ramp, such as Redd Road (Exit 9).
  • South Desert Boulevard will close between McClintock Drive and North Mesa Street (SH 20).
  • McClintock Street access to South Desert Boulevard will close.
  • The North Mesa entrance ramp to I-10 eastbound will close.
  • Crews will be removing and installing concrete pavement on North Mesa Street (SH 20) near the I-10 overpass.

I-10 Both Directions

Overnight

Sunday, Oct. 28 through Tuesday, Oct. 30, and Thursday, Nov. 1

8 p.m. each night to 6 a.m. each morning

  • I-10 eastbound will close at Sunland Park (Exit 13). Detour: Motorists will exit at Sunland Park and immediately re-enter I-10 Eastbound at the next ramp.
  • I-10 westbound will close at Executive Center (Exit 16). Detour: Motorists will exit at Executive Center, then follow the detour signs to North Mesa Street (SH 20). The North Mesa entrance ramp to I-10 westbound will be open.
  • Sunland Park Drive will close in both directions at the I-10 overpass. Detour: Motorists should use an alternate route.
  • Paisano Drive (US 85) westbound will close at McNutt Road (NM 273). Detour: Motorists on westbound Paisano Drive (US 85) will exit at McNutt Road (NM 273).
  • Both Sunland Park entrance ramps to I-10 eastbound will close.
  • Crockett Street access to Paisano Drive (US 85) will close.
  • The Resler flyover entrance ramp to I-10 eastbound will close.
  • The Sunland Park entrance ramp to I-10 westbound will close.
  • The Schuster/UTEP entrance ramp to I-10 westbound will close.
  • Crews will be making a lane pattern adjustment to a small section of Sunland Park Drive. Work will also consist of painting structures and hauling dirt.

Sunland Park

Continuous – 24/7

Monday, Oct. 29 at 9 a.m. through Friday, Nov. 2 at 6 p.m.

  • Paisano Drive (US 85) – in front of the auto dealerships – will be reduced to one lane between Sunland Park Drive and Crockett Street.
  • Access to businesses will remain open.
  • Crews will be installing a sign structure.
