Work continues on the Go10/TxDoT projects around the Sun City, with the bulk of the action taking place on the city’s west side highways and byways.
Two big upcoming events, the Sunland flyover opens and the Sunland overpass closes on April 30. Then, crews plan to shut down the I-10/Sunland interchange for two back-to-back weekends in May.

· North Desert Boulevard will have the left lane closed between North Mesa Street (SH 20) and Thorn Avenue. One lane will always remain open. Access to the I-10 westbound entrance ramp will be open.
Crews are building new roads in the area. North Mesa Street (SH 20) will be subject to lane closures throughout 2018.

· I-10 Westbound will close between Executive Center Boulevard and Sunland Park Drive.
· The Schuster Avenue entrance ramp to I-10 Westbound will close.
Detour: Motorists will exit at Executive Center Boulevard (Exit 16) and follow the detour signs to re-enter I-10 Westbound at the North Mesa Street (SH 20) entrance ramp.
Crews will be demolishing a portion of the old Sunland Park flyover ramp, plugging potholes, and hauling dirt.

Detours: o Motorists on southbound Sunland Park Drive will take North Mesa Street (SH 20) to Resler Drive, then take I-10 Eastbound and exit at Sunland Park Drive to continue on Sunland Park Drive southbound. o Motorists on northbound Sunland Park Drive will be detoured to enter I-10 Eastbound, exit at Executive Center Blvd, follow Executive Center Blvd to North Mesa Street (SH 20), then follow North Mesa Street (SH 20) to return to Sunland Park Drive.
Crews will be paving a temporary detour at the I-10/Sunland Park interchange.

· I-10 Eastbound will close completely between North Mesa Street (SH 20) and Resler Drive.
· The North Mesa Street entrance ramp to I-10 Eastbound will close.
Detour: Motorists will exit at North Mesa Street (Exit 11) and follow the detour signs to the Sunland Park Drive eastbound entrance ramp.
Traffic pattern change: By 6 am on Monday, April 16, motorists will be traveling on the new eastbound collector‐distributor (CD) lanes for approximately a half mile between North Mesa St (SH 20) and Resler Dr. The traffic pattern switch will be in place for several months while crews rebuild a section of I‐10 East.

Crews will be conducting pavement work on South Desert Boulevard.

Detour: Traffic will be detoured onto the newly constructed turnaround bridge located alongside the closed overpass.
